The Art & Culture of Southern Spain combines an exciting and colorful performance with interactive activities and educational explanations\, giving participants a hands-on experience of the Spanish art of Flamenco. With top-notch artists\, including live guitar\, singing\, and dancing\, patrons are able to see and hear the different sounds\, styles\, and emotions inherent in Flamenco. They will learn about the geographic and historical roots of the different cultures and religions that created Flamenco\, while also learning Spanish vocabulary and counting. Participants learn how to play the castanets and do zapateo "footwork\," ending with a lively "Ole!"\n\n\n\nSpanish desserts will be provided by Dash N' Dine Deli.\n\n\n\nThis program was generously funded by a donation from the Brookfield Town Center Block Party.
