DESCRIPTION:Dear Non-Profit and Business Leaders\,\n\n \n\nI am pleased to invite you to the first in a series of conversations designed to bring together community\, business\, and civic leaders to address the region's workforce and talent needs. This inaugural session is being co-hosted by Western Connecticut State University and Superintendent Kara Casimiro of Danbury Public Schools.\n\n \n\nOur shared goal is to strengthen the pipeline from K-12 through higher education to the workplace ensuring that students and employees alike are equipped with the skills needed to succeed\, and that local organizations have access to the talent they need to thrive. By coming together across sectors\, we can align education\, workforce\, and community priorities in ways that advance both organizational success and regional prosperity.\n\n \n\nAt this session\, I will share an update on WestConn's vision for launching a Business & Industry Advisory Council. Superintendent Casimiro will share how Danbury Public Schools is preparing the next generation of learners and why close collaboration with employers is critical to the future of our region.
