Mental Health Awareness Month

NewSylum Brewing Company and Newtown Youth and Family Services (NYFS) are excited to announce their continued partnership to support Mental Health Awareness Month in May. Please come and visit NewSylum Brewing at 36 Keating Farms Avenue in Newtown, CT during the month of May, and order one of the local brewery's favorite, "Therapy Session." All profits from the purchase of Therapy Session, a hazy New England-style pale ale, will go to NYFS, a leading mental health and youth services agency that serves the Greater Newtown Area.

Founding partners Dave Kingsley and Mark Tambascio of NewSylum Brewing Co., spearheaded the fundraiser in 2022 to support the mental health efforts in the community. Candice Bohr, Executive Director of NYFS, expresses that "partnerships with local businesses like NewSylum are very beneficial to promote awareness for our mission to help our youth and families reach their highest potential, and working with a business that prioritizes the health of its community adds further value to this important fundraiser." Kingsley adds, “Since our inception we have felt an obligation and a privilege to support local mental health services and NYFS does a great job”.

Newtown Youth and Family Services is the largest provider of youth support and mental health services in Newtown. NewSylum Brewing Company, located on the Fairfield Hills Campus in Newtown CT, was established in 2020.
