Weaving is a beautiful art form tracing back to 6000 BC. It has been used to make necessary items for survival such as blankets, hunting nets, boat sails, carpets, and tents, to magnificent pieces of art in the form of wall tapestries, and fabric for garments. In this workshop, you will learn the beginning steps to set up a portable table frame loom (provided) and several basic weave patterns that can be used to create your own masterpiece! You might have a design in mind that you have been wanting to start, but not sure how. Well, this is the workshop for you! Bring photos of the design and Nikki will do her best to help you achieve the desired outcome! This is a beginner level workshop with no requirement of prior experience. So don't worry if you have never touched a needle or thread, Nikki will guide you through the process step by step!
