Presenter: Lisa Scails is the Executive Director of the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut, and created Accessible Art in 2008 at the request of Mayor, Mark Boughton at Danbury City Hall. Today we have many public and private businesses who participate with Accessible Art throughout the year.
The Accessible Art Project is the longest-running program offered by the Cultural Alliance and serves to provide better access to the arts through nontraditional methods. It is also a way for businesses to engage the arts community.
The Cultural Alliance, based in Danbury CT, is a regional arts organization and a leader in supporting a vibrant arts and culture community in Northern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield Counties. The Alliance promotes and advocates for arts, history, and culture as a primary driver of the economy and as an enriching influence for communities and people.
