Ted Killmer, Art Consultant, Event Producer, and PR Specialist
Ted celebrated his 35th year as an arts consultant, specializing primarily in theatrical programming & publicity. A Downtown resident, he currently represents CityCenter Danbury and the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut, and counts more than 135 Broadway, Off Broadway, touring, and institutional productions to his credit. Top tier clients have included Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Sunday in the Park with George, Obie winner En Garde Arts, and the highly respected Pan Asian Repertory Theatre. Prior to that, he toured the country as a puppeteer, which led him to a strong interest in the popular arts of circus, vaudeville, burlesque, magic and spectacle. Throughout his career, he has championed those art forms and organizations that normally wouldn't receive much attention, especially within the "vernacular" and ethnic communities, and has succeeded in introducing them to a broader audience.
