$100 donation (check made payable to Special Olympics Connecticut), you will be provided with a 15’’ X 24’’ color sign with your business’s name on it that you may post in the ground along the route or in front of your business during the 2018 Law Enforcement Torch Run
On behalf of Special Olympics Connecticut (SOCT), the Danbury Police Department is asking you to consider supporting the 2018 Law Enforcement Torch Run by participating in the “Adopt a Mile Fundraiser.” The Torch Run begins the morning of Wednesday, June 6th and finishes Friday, June 8th; it will pass through Danbury on Friday, June 8th. The three day run will cover over 530 miles through 100 Connecticut cities and towns.
For a $100 donation (check made payable to Special Olympics Connecticut), you will be provided with a 15’’ X 24’’ color sign with your business’s name on it that you may post in the ground along the route or in front of your business during the 2018 Law Enforcement Torch Run. The sign is yours to keep. This is a great way to promote your business within the community and support both SOCT and your local law enforcement agency at the same time.
If you would like to donate, please complete the attached form and mail it directly to Special Olympics CT by May 11, 2018. Our contact at SOCT, Jeffrey Veneziano, keeps us informed of any Adopt-A-Miles purchased on behalf of the efforts of the Danbury Police Department.
Your business’s support helps provide year round athletic training and competition for over 13,000 SOCT athletes and unified partners throughout the state. Feel confident that your efforts have helped to spread our message that intellectually disabled people are capable, gifted, and vital members of our communities.
Thank you for supporting Special Olympics Connecticut!
