The Newtown Lions Club are having a Model Train Show Event to benefit Childhood Cancer Research on Sunday October 26th from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson St. in Newtown. Admission is $10 adults, children $5 and under 9 free and families (three or more) $25. Advance ticket purchase $8. This event is fun for all ages from 1 to 101. Come see what Model Railroading is all about. Learning clinics for all ages of moderlers. Win a Lego Model Railroad along with other door prizes.
Also added to this year's event will be a Halloween Costume Parade during the 2025 Train Show. The parade will be a fun festive event for children ages 12 and under to show off their costumes, participate in a community celebration, and have a chance to win prizes! All participants will leave with a goodie bag.
