Attorney Daniel Costa will offer a background on the basics of the U.S. labor migration system and explore key themes within the overarching context of what a fair immigration system should look like. A Q&A session will follow.

About Daniel Costa: As director of Immigration Law & Policy Research for the Economic Policy Institute, Costa's current areas of research include a winde range of labor migration issues, including the management of temporary foreign worker programs, both high- and less-skilled migration, and immigrant workers' rights, plus forced migration, including refugee and asylum issues and the global migration crisis. He has testified on immigration before the U.S. Congress, is quoted frequently by national news outlets, has appeared on radio/TV news, as was named one of "20 Immigration Experts to Follow on Twitter" by ABC News. His commentaries have appeared in various publications, including The New York Times, Roll Call, The Hill, and La Opinion. Costa earned his LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center, J.D. in International Law from Syracuse University, and B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
